Peak Serum Moves To End Cancer With Bicycle Race Raising $1,261,292.63
Peak Serum is proud to announce our contribution to cancer research through We Are Chainbreaker: A Movement To End Cancer cyclist ride. Raising $1,262,292.63, the event donated 100% of every dollar to the Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota, a National Cancer Institute created to support cancer research including clinical trails, novel ideas, seed funding and long-range research studies.
Chainbreaker is a weekend bicycle race with the core purpose of funding cancer research. This annual ride took place August 11-13th, 2017 beginning at the Blue Cross Blue Shield Campus in Eagan, MN with four route options. Each route had a minimum fundraising commitment:
- 25 miles (1-day ride) – $1,000
- 50 Miles (1-day ride) – $1,250
- 100 Miles (1-day ride) – $1,500
- 180 Miles (2-day ride) – $2,000
Peak Serum donated specifically to the Ridin’ Receptors Peloton that sponsored Kelly LaPara, lifelong cancer researcher hunting for a cure. We were able to ride and support in spirit as the team cycled through Minnesota in the three-day race. We are so honored to support this team and their dedication to cancer research!
