The differentiation assays are finicky about the serum we use and our findings indicate that Peak Serum’s US Origin FBS (PS-FB1) can be used in conjunction with osteogenic and osteoclastic cytokines for differentiation and maturation assays respectively.

We tested both adipose derived MSC’s from mouse strains, one C57Bl/6 and one Luciferase transgenic mouse. Both cell lines did better with Peak Serum’s US OriginFBS, (PS-FB1) than Hyclone or Gibco.

We use Peak Serum FBS (PS-FB1) for culturing bone marrow derived macrophages and the yield is always outstanding.

Peak Serum’s US Origin FBS, (PS-FB1) worked better than Gibco on our 3T3-L1 cells / differentiation application. We want the cells to be differentiated as much as possible and Peak Serum FBS fit our needs.

We were satisfied with Peak Serum’s US Origin FBS (PS-FB1) for Mesenchymal Stem Cells, early incubation stage, obtained from bone marrow or fat tissue.

We compared the growth of three different primary fibroblast lines in media supplemented with Peak Serum’s FBS to their growth in media supplemented with four other commercially-available FBS samples and noticed a big difference in growth or cell morphology by phase microscopy when using Peak Serum’s FBS.
