Earl’s Balanced Salts Solution (EBSS) 10X w/ Calcium w/ Magnesium w/o Sodium Bicarbonate

Earle’s Balanced Salt Solution is a chemically defined solution designed to help maintain the structural and physiological integrity of mammalian cells in vitro. This 10X-concentrated formulation is intended for short-term use in a CO₂ environment and contains calcium, magnesium, and phenol red, without sodium bicarbonate.

The solution is suitable for cell culture and biochemical or cellular assays. It has a glucose concentration of 4.5 g/L and can be supplemented with sodium bicarbonate using either 29.3 mL/L of 7.5% sodium bicarbonate solution or 2.2 g/L of sodium bicarbonate powder. This product is supplied as a sterile-filtered liquid for laboratory in vitro use only, and is not intended for therapy or human or veterinary applications.
